Terms of trade
Effective 26 May 2026 · governing law of England & Wales
1. Who you are buying from
These terms apply to every order placed at millywillygames.uk by a consumer (a private individual not acting in the course of a trade or profession). The contract of sale is concluded between you and:
Eleanor Whitmore, trading as Milly Willy
14 Henrietta Mews, Bath BA2 6LR, United Kingdom
HMRC self-assessment UTR: 4861 290374
VAT registration: GB 314 2087 56
E-mail: [email protected] · Telephone: +44 1225 477 219
The proprietor trades as a sole trader registered with HM Revenue & Customs. There is no Companies House registration because none is required for sole-trader form.
2. How a contract is formed
When you submit an order from the satchel, you are making us an offer to purchase the listed items. No contract is formed at this point. We will email you within 24 hours either (a) accepting the order and providing payment instructions, or (b) regretting that an item is no longer available. The contract is formed at the moment we send the acceptance email. No payment is taken from you on the website itself.
3. Price & payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include UK VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable. Payment is by bank transfer or by the one-time payment link supplied in our acceptance email. We do not store card numbers.
4. Postage & delivery
We despatch via Royal Mail Tracked 48. Standard lead time is 1–3 working days within the UK. Postage costs £3.95 per order, or is included free of charge on orders over £45.00. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you supplied.
5. Your right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a statutory right to cancel a distance-sale order for any reason within 14 days of the day on which you (or someone you nominate) take physical possession of the last item in your order.
To exercise the right to cancel, write to us at [email protected] or by post to the address above, giving your order reference and a clear statement of cancellation. A model cancellation form is set out on our Returns page.
The goods must be returned to us, in essentially the condition they were sent, within 14 days of you notifying us of the cancellation. You bear the cost of the return postage. We will refund all payments received from you (including the original outbound postage charge, capped at our standard rate) within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, by the same method you used for payment.
6. Consumer Rights Act 2015 — quality, fitness & description
Every entry in the cabinet is described accurately to the best of our knowledge: condition, completeness, region, and any working-order caveats are recorded in plain English on the product page. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you may within 30 days reject them for a full refund, or after that period request a repair, a replacement or a price reduction.
7. Warranty & bench-tested hardware
All hardware items (consoles, controllers, accessories) carry a 12-month working-order warranty from the date of delivery, in addition to your statutory rights. If a fault develops during the warranty period, write to [email protected] with a short description and we will arrange repair, exchange or refund at our discretion.
8. Out-of-stock entries
The cabinet is a small private collection. Although every effort is made to keep the website in line with the bench, an item occasionally sells in person before the listing is removed. If this happens, you will be notified and refunded in full within two working days.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any matter which it would be unlawful to exclude. Subject to that, our total liability under any single contract of sale shall not exceed the price paid for the goods in question. We do not exclude any of your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Complaints & informal dispute resolution
If something has gone awry, please write to [email protected] in the first instance — Iris reads every letter within the working day. If we cannot reach a friendly conclusion together, you are free to pursue your statutory rights through the small-claims track of the County Court (Bath County Court) or through any consumer-protection body whose jurisdiction applies.
11. Governing law
These terms, and any contract concluded under them, are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Updates
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your purchase is the one in force on the date your order is placed. The "effective" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
